Day 18 - Calories Out (active)

Students' newest challenge involves looking at the mathematics behind exercise in relation to the amount of energy (calories) burned.

Standards:
  • N-RN.1 Explain how the definition of the meaning of rational exponents follows from extending the properties of integer exponents to those values, allowing for a notation for radicals in terms of rational exponents.
  • A-CED.4 Rearrange formulas to highlight a quantity of interest, using the same reasoning as in solving equations.
